Nannan Kou covers China's power and gas market by conducting research of the market dynamics, and forecasting medium to long term market development in terms of the balance between supply and demand, pricing trend and policy environment. His recent research project includes China gas market outlook, China's gas power market, and the ongoing power market reform.
Before joining BNEF, he served as the analyst in Guodian Corporation's energy research institute, which is the internal consulting arm under one of the big five Independent Power Producers. He has attended several of Guodian Corporation's long-term strategy developments, as well as some specific project economical evaluations.
He received his Ph.D from the department of mechanical engineering at Purdue University. He graduated from Tsinghua University as Bachelor.
